Long story short, MightyBox is being rebuilt in C++ ! in hope to achieve faster interface, and low memory usage
cross platform usability for Linux and Windows is still a design goal.
Python plugins engine is also intended to be used
Its a first time for me going after a project of this scale in C++, so the help of c++ devs will be greatly appreciated at start untill ill get the hang of it : )
so long Java...

I've decided to use Google-Code as the project development hompage.
Here is a link

I've decided to open MightyBox source to the public, under the permissions detailed by its license.
I think this will help plugin development more than any documentation I can supply.
Moreover. I want to officially invite any serious developer to continue MightyBox developing in the Linux arena while I continue working on the Windows side. Both communities Linux and Windows will benefit from the same core.

Hi everyone,
As I promised I am publishing a short video showing off some of MightyBox new features.
This video demonstrates:
- Searching for and launching application installed on your computer.
- Navigating the file system from within MB.
- Creating a new file, renaming it, appending text to it, opening it, and finally deleting it.

I'm a kind of perfectionist when it comes to software, so i really don't wanna give away nothing but a complete and bug-less application. but that is not possible. so... I've decided this can't wait any longer, and I plan to release the first version today.
so expect to see the first project release on eyalw.com in the following 10-12 hours.
Note: The first release will be for Windows only
but linux will not be left behind.
thats it...
may the power be with me

Hi,
just wanted to announce i'm currently working on the preferences window or "control panel"
which is the window from which plugins will be enabled/diabled/installed and triggers will be set, and what have you...
themes... color schemes... some core Mighty Box behavior and so on..
ill post a screenshot soon

You know, I think this QS thing is not as tricky as it seems!
And why should Mac have all the fun?
It should belong to anyone!
Not anyone, in fact, but me!
Why, I could set QS free!
And there's not a reason I can find,
I couldn't have a QS time!
I bet I could improve it, too!
And that's exactly what I'll do!

Hi everybody,
Just wanted to let you know about some nifty new features I've implemented on JQuicksilver.
(btw, at the same time i'd like to invite you to offer a cool name for this project, because we don't really want to live the shadow of the
original Mac only Quicksilver made by Blacktree Software, so if any cool name come to mind, post it on this discussion board, and we shall hmm.. discuss it?)

Today i am working on adding a TextSubject. this feature is quite useful, while the subject selector is in focus. press '.'(period) or " ' "(quote) to start typing text, not as a query, as an independent object.
Then u can perform many action using this text subject, such as opening web pages, appending text to files, sending emails/ adding a contact and so forth...
The text subject is also meaningful as a parameter to other actions.
when renaming files in e.g.
