First released: Fri, 12/21/2007 - 23:59

This release has been canceled due to some critical bug. This bug has been fixed already,
but I prefer beta testers to check out the mB project from my repository rather than me releasing a new version for any minor bug fix. so until mB will have stability, i will not release any files here.

please report bugs on the Issues Page

first test

ok here my first report on jqs:

os: windows xp sp2 (german)
java: jre1.6.0_01
graphics card: onboard intel 855gm chipset

the first thing i've noticed is that the plugin settings menu isnt displaying correctly:

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/5199/jqsalpha1zd0.jpg

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe this is a known bug in the jre 1.6. which version of java
do you use to develop? so i can download and install your java version and test it again.

the second thing is that i'm not able to launch applications like itunes or photoshop via jqs.
this is likely caused because jqs is currently not indexing the startmenu folder.

the thid thing is that it would be nice to have "bugs" section in the forum where testers & users can
post their problems.

ok that's it for now, i only had aboud 10 minutes to test jqs and this are the first things which i stumpled upon.

best regards
martin

As I mentioned there is a

As I mentioned there is a bugs section on projects > jquicksilver > issues
link: Issues Page

as for the no applications are found. that issue should be published, and as you said that has to do with the paths JQS use to look for apps. meanwhile you can change the config file found in
%JQS_DIR%/plugins/com.eyalw.jquicksilver.plugin.fileSystem/ conf / seachPaths.properties
edit it with a text editor to fit your preferences until the bug is fixed
(you might even specify full absolute paths until this is fixed
in vista for example:
C:\Users\gilanat\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
...
and comment all other lines that refer to false locations. they might bug the whole file system plugin and although the first paths are right, they will not be found either.

lets move this bug discussions to the forum and to the issues page

thanks for your help
